Pride & Joy Terms & Conditions

Before you book, please review the Pride and Joy policies. These terms and conditions should be taken to include the matters contained in each of the policies.

1. Bookings

1.1 Bookings must be made with a minimum of two weeks’ notice. Bookings made within the two-week notice period may be unfulfilled.

1.2 When booking, please double check dates, times, locations and all confirmation messages. We may be unable to accommodate changes where other client bookings conflict.

1.3 Please assess your required care period carefully. If you are unable to return home by the time agreed your child may have to accompany me to any booking that follows yours, and you will need to make arrangements to pick your child up.

1.4 Where you are more than 20 minutes later than agreed you will be charged at the emergency childcare tariff for all time beyond the agreed end time.

1.5 Occasional care of any additional children must be agreed when making the booking.

1.6 All pre/after school bookings may involve partaking in a Nannyshare during these peak times (see our policies section for more information on this).

1.7  All clients must be amenable to partaking in a Nannyshare at weekends and during school holidays. Pride & Joy will endeavour to make appropriate family introductions before any shared care; this may not always be possible in emergency situations. An opportunity for clients to visit homes which are happy to be host families will also attempt to be arranged for everyones peace of mind.

2. Fees

2.1 In order to begin receiving any of Pride & Joy’s childcare services, we must receive the Annual Service Fee in full. The Annual Service Fee is then payable annually and must be paid before any services are arranged for after the renewal date.

2.2 Payments can be made by cash, cheque or via BACs.

2.3 All care bookings are subject to ‘peak’ (beginning at 6pm) and ‘off-peak’ (beginning at 8.45am) rates; ‘off peak rates apply Mon - Fri between 08:45 and 1800hrs. A minimum of 3 hours is charged, even if the booking is made for a shorter duration. Half hours are the minimum charge following the initial three hours; charges are applicable after the first ten minutes of each consecutive hour of care.

2.4 Cancellations made with less than one week’s notice will incur the full cost of the booking.

2.5 Services rendered on bank holidays will be charged at time and a half; meaning 50% will be added to hourly rate to pay.

2.6 You will receive a 25% fee discount during Nannyshare periods. Where other children are required to be in your home you will receive a 40% discount off hourly fees for the time they are present.

2.7 Invoices will be dispatched on a monthly basis and are payable within 14 days.

2.8 Failure to pay within 14 days without prior arrangement may mean that future services are withheld until full payment is received. Pride & Joy reserve the right to charge a 25% surcharge on all accounts not settled within this period and to re-claim any costs (including debt collector's fees) incurred as a result of chasing payment.

3. Insurance

3.1 I have insurance in respect of liability which may be incurred for death, injury, public liability, damage or other loss. The insurance is in my own name.

4. Ofsted requirements

4.1 Pride & Joy meets the standards and commits to the requirements contained in OFSTED’s Childcare Register requirements: childcare providers on non-domestic or domestic premises. This is a voluntary register – Pride & Joy have been inspected and meet all of the criteria. You can read the document here
